As the summer/spring wedding season quietened down the winter weddings roll in and I was excited for Kris and Amy’s winter wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall on the out skirts of Sheffield. I was hoping to wake up that Saturday morning to a nice frost for some scenic wintery pre-ceremony photos, what I didn’t want to wake up to was the snow and traffic chaos that had erupted. Nevertheless I always prepare and give plenty of time and having made it to Whirlowbrook Hall where there was no snow but instead hard ice, it made things quite difficult for outside photography.

The whole day was a delight and the ceremony was beautiful, we managed to get out despite the ice and cold wind for some lovely evening shots with the sun setting offering some lovely light. We even managed to get out in the dark for a sparkler confetti photo.

It was a lovely wedding from start to finish and I once again thank Kris and Amy for having me photograph their wedding day.
